Damn

It was my friend in the plane crash. I guess denial is not just a river in Egypt huh. I have been very upset and angry over this and have left work, school and, well, everything for a few days. I put my life in perspective and have now decided to quit my job. I have a few opportunities here in town. nothing great but I have decided I don't need great, I need to be home. I have a new idea for a movie I will write and I will look for more auditions as soon as my play is over here.

Death of a friend?

I found out a few days ago that one of my best friends from school died in a plane crash near Seattle. His name is Chris Schaeffer but the information I have seen for my self says "Chris Schafer". This could be a typo but this could be a coincidence, they were the same age, but different rent spellings of the last name. I heard it through; myspace, to my wife, to me. My wife thinks I don't believe it because he was my friend. My best friends in school were Chris, David, and Travis. Travis was in a horrible car crash which left his girlfriend dead, and him relearning how to walk and talk, among other things. David was killed in L.A. after he and his nephew were leaving a bar, celebrating his nephews 21st birthday. If I have to continue the story and say my last best friend was killed in a plane crash...I'm scared for myself.

Taking the time

I just got done reading Travels by Michael Crichton. It was a very interesting book and I learned a lot. Of the many things that stuck with me, he wrote about making sure he took at least one interesting picture a day. After looking at my sisters blog and seeing all the photos she has I felt a little guilty of not taking enough of my own. I love photography and have been taking pictures since I was a child. I have a Sony Cybershot and I also have a Sony Handycam for videos (I'm a Sony whore) which I carry with me at all times, but for some reason hardly ever use. Now, I live my life between two worlds, that of the high desert and that of the sequoias. Between my travels home and to work are; rivers, a lake, Joshua trees, waterfalls, and cliffs, among many other things. All of which would make wonderful pictures. I think I stopped taking pictures because I'm always on the run and hate being late, or maybe it is because my camera is becoming outdated, OK is outdated. Either way I am going to start taking the time to take a picture every day and start thinking about which new Sony camera I want to start saving up for.

So sleepy

I work 86 miles away from home and this week I have a lot of extra things to do in my acting classes. I usually drive the 86 miles to work, stay five days, drive home, then repeat. Now with class I go to sleep around 2300 Wednesday night wake up at 0330 Thursday, drive up to work, work from 0600 until 1400 then drive back home and show up to class 15 minutes late. This week I will be going up Thursday and back down, then up on Friday, then back down on Sunday back up later on Sunday, then finally back down on Monday. I fear i will spend more in gas then I will make. I cant wait to get out of this stupid job and get paid to act, rather then paying to act.

Am i still a man?

I am currently receiving a pedicure from my wife as I type because I must take my shoes off during an acting class tomorrow. I don't know whats more manly, the fact that I am getting a pedicure or the fact that my wife is doing it for me.

Starting up

As I start my blog here it is the first Sunday of football season. My Seahawks have played and are, as of now, undefeated. Whats that you say? The entire half of the NFL will be undefeated by Monday night? To that I say "F-you." For those of you who don't know me, I will tell you I work for a ranch somewhere in the national sequoia forest. That gives me time to sit, think, spin then do it all over again. I am also an up and coming actor currently working on the laramie project. Most of my blogging will be about those two items of life in my sphere, how stupid people are in the mountains "What do you mean the closest gas is twenty six miles away? I'm below empty!" And the frustrations of trying to become an actor. Oh, and maybe a little football.
